On the BOAT to Mandalay

I got up at 4am andhad packed and was ready to go around 5! Went down to the reception and woke up the gay in charge. He went out for his moto-bike and asked me to sit up behind him in the dark! So I did, and he took me to the boat area a couple of km away! I walked down to the boat and on!

We started the trip at 5.30am and after some time they served breakfast! It was coffee, a pice of bread, a banana, a cake and a boiled egg! It was a bit cold in the morning so most people were sitting downstairs in the boat! The light came and more people went to uppger deck and I asked if I could go to the bridge and Monica from Australia joined me. The boat driver was there and we had a nice time as the sun went up over a bridge.

We passed a lot of different boats on our journey.

Around 11 they served a lunch and I bought a beer!

I had a very nice talk with 2 women, form Australia and Germany, travelling together.

Around 4pm we arrived in Mandalay and there were lots of taxi and moto drivers waiting! 

I shared a taxi with the 2 women and they went of first trying to get a room! I had already booked so i went on to my place - Royal City Hotel, and I got a nice room on the 4th floor! I went out to BBB restaurant and sat down with 3 nice german people and I had a good meal and a Mandalay beer, before going back to the Hotel for a good nights sleep!
