Early morning in Bangkok and a taxidriver who don't know where Tonburi station is! Bangkok Noi is better! Arrived in good time and the train was delayed half an hour! Casey from London was also waiting and we start talking and did so the whole Journey to Kanchanaburi! Exchanged travel expiriences, very interesting! In Kanchanaburi I was picked up by Joy, a friend of Bo in Malmö. I could stay in a room in her office. Perfect! We went to an opening of a new bungalow place by the river and got nice thai food. Then we went back and on a motorbike visited many places in and around K-buri.
The cementeries and other very interesting places in the area ending up at the bridge! I was lucky, this week they are celebrating the annual Festival in rememberence of the many soldiers WHO died here during the WWII.
In the evening, me Joy and her boyfriend when out for a needlesoup and after that me and Joy went to the Festival - showing a story about the bridge with fireworks - very realistic - ending up with a salut to the late King. Its Kings day, a holyday in Thailand also! Before going back we walked thru the very large marketplace, where you could buy almost anything that you don't really need!
