Mornings have been slow to try to recover from my sickness. In the afternoon Joy has taken me to different places and Kanchanaburi is definitely more than a bridge over river Kwae!
Yesterday afternoon we went to a chineese buddhist tempel under construction! I couldn't in my wildest fantasy imagen that anyone would spend that huge amount of money on a new Tempel, when there are so many already - my thought, why not use the money to give poor people a better life??!!
Anyhow, it is an impressive construction with the best available materials! And on a huge Peace of ground. Many buildings and statues, buddhas etc etc. We walked avround most of the afternoon!
Today we went to an older tempel located on top of a hill! We had to climb many stairs before we were up and there was this beautiful cave and lots of other interesting things to se - we had to walk thru a dragon to reach the top
On the way to the tempel we past a large number of chineese graves in something like a huge and widely spred out grave yard.
After that we went another beautiful tempel site and we saw the sunset. There were many interesting buildings, tempels or pagodas and we spent some hours there as well. Julius from Holland was with us on this tour.
Tigers guarding the entrence to the other temple.

ReplyDeleteDet låter o ser mycket intressant ut! Men jag tänker som du - varför inte hjälpa det fattiga istället för att lägga så mycket pengar o energi på ett nytt tempel...?? 🤔
Du verkar må bättre då du orkade gå upp för alla trapporna!
Är det åtminstone familjegravar? Väldigt fina, men väldigt stora...!
Ta hand om dig!!
Många kramar från oss alla 😘❤
